What is Liter of Lights?

Liter of Lights is an organization that is dedicated to bringing affordable sustainable energy to places where there is no or limited access to electricity. Throughout the world, Liter of Lights uses recycled water bottles to light up streets, homes, and businesses. Some of the countries include Mexico, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and 12 other countries.

They have already installed 350,000 plastic bottle lights and counting. Liter of Lights has also won the 2015 Zayed Future Energy Prize, 2016 St. Andrews Prize for the Environment, and the 2014-2015 World Habitat Award.
