Project Soap Bottle: Zero-Waste

 Gaming animation of futuristic aircraft

The plastic crisis is getting out of hand and there are few companies working to change their polices. Why not start a new company?

What is Project Soap Bottle?

We use around 10 bottles of shampoo and 11 bottles of shower gel each year. That could fill a thousand Olympic swimming pools and weighs 75 kilotons. Project Soap Bottle is a company that is working towards a zero-waste future.

Jonna Breitenhuber started Project Soap Bottle while she was studying for her masters. She worked as a packaging designer for cosmetic products and started to realize that there were a minimal amount of plastic-free packaging for liquid self care products.

Jonna wanted to change that, leading to the creation of Project Soap Bottle. She saw that the food industry used things like ice cream cones as a "wrapper" that is still fully functional and non-wasteful. Jonna wanted to transfer the idea unto hygiene products, so she started to experiment with soap.

Project Soap Bottle has natural packaging, is 100% waste-free, and 100% cruelty-free. There is no solid date for Project Soap Bottle's release, but the goal is to launch in 2021. Help spread the message by using these hashtags. (#projectsoapbottle #savetheplanet #ccya)
